German artist Candida Höfer will exhibit large and small-scale color photographs describing public institutions in Los Angeles, Cambridge and Madrid.
The selection of buildings includes the minimalist/modern Schindler House in LA, the ornate Palacio Real Madrid, the Widener Library at Harvard University and the interiors of several libraries in Madrid. In spite of the diversity of achitectural ideology and stylistic conventions, Hofer captures a singularity of the architects' intent to represent a grand superstructure.
Candida Höfer is an internationally renowned artist who has exhibited extensively throughout Europe and the US.
