Robert Wilson is described in his Vision catalogue from the Boston Museum of Fine Arts as "one of the most creative forces in...art and theater of the last two decades. He has fused the roles of director and designer in a highly visual approach that gives formal independence to the elements of light, space, and sound." Our show corresponds with the American Conservatory Theater's production of The Black Rider opening September 1st and running through October 3rd and will include some of his most famous chair pieces and drawings from various productions. His last San Francisco exhibition was at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art in 1991.
